tl;dr: these apartments are owned by greedy parasites who attempt to extort former tenants. Stay far away.
I lived in these apartments for 6 years, between 2015 and 2021. In that time, the apartment complex went through three different sets of owners, and rent was doubled. The most recent apartment managers, who took over in 2021, are deceitful, unscrupulous, unresponsive and greedy -- after moveout, they fabricated nearly $600 in fradulent costs in an attempt to extort me to pay for expenses explicitly unauthorized under the terms of the lease I signed with the previous owners. I disputed these charges, after which they went incommunicado and became impossible to contact.
Months later, they contacted me to try to get me to pay for this $600, an amount far in excess of my security deposit. After disputing the charges again, they "discovered" that, in fact, they did not incur any costs painting my former apartment (again, a cost not authorized under my lease), and reduced their demand by $300. Again, I responded, pointing out the specific language in my lease which prohibits charges that amount to ordinary wear and tear, and they proceeded to ignore my concerns and claims. In the end, while I now am not expected to pay an amount in excess of my security deposit, they have unlawfully seized that deposit to further enrich their slumlord owners.
If I did not now live 1,000 miles away, I would gladly take this awful company to small claims court to prove a point, but doing so would be prohibitively expensive. My advice: rent elsewhere.
