I want to share my experience living here to help others make an informed decision. This building only offers 12-month leases, no exceptions. Even if you havenât lived there for a full 12 months, they still want you to either renew your lease for another year or move out by July 31st. For example, if you rent in November, you must still vacate by July 31st when your lease ends, which feels unfairly strict.
For established residents, they wonât allow a month-to-month lease for an extra fee. Instead, they insist you renew for a full year, and if you need to leave early, your only option is to sublease. Subleasing sounds easy in theory, but in reality, itâs very challenging. Many people donât want to take over a sublease, especially in a building that isnât well maintained. The hallways are often dirty, and garbage frequently overflows from the dumpsters. Another downside is there is no central AC, so the rooms can get very hot during the summer. The wall AC units are old and inefficient, making it uncomfortable to stay cool in the summer.
Overall, the lease policies are rigid and the building upkeep leaves much to be desired. I wouldnât recommend this place to anyone looking for flexible leasing or a clean, well-managed environment.
